Another cool leaf! This one reminds me of the skin of some kind of reptile. There is something I find very pleasing about the green and gold color combination, but I can’t quite put it into words, but it invokes a sense of oneness with nature. When I picked this leaf up off the ground it appeared to be a relatively ordinary green leaf, only when backlit and zoomed in a great deal with my Mzuiko 90mm 3.5 macro lens were the golden dots and other details revealed throughout the leaf. I was drawn to this tiny point on the leaf where some of the larger veins met and created a circular formation. Can you spot the one red dot?

Bonus image!

This was a long dead leaf with slightly less dead spots strew throughout. I focused on one of the spots and created what appears to me like a bright leaf lake surrounded by dark leaf land. The details in the middle section look a bit like stained glass. Pretty neat if you ask me.
