There is no telling how adding some light to a leaf will transform its appearance. I did not predict that backlighting the leaf would give it this amazing glow, but I love how it looks. I like to imagine this is similar to what it would look like to stare deep into an active volcano and see a pool of red hot magma. Fun fact: Magma is the term used to describe molten rock that is beneath the Earth’s surface and lava is the term used to describe it once it breaks through the Earth’s surface.
